About this Mod

SHOUT is an addon for Alien Evolution that adds a bunch of QoL features to the base mod, including Alien Shouts and Extra Commands.

Alien Shouts

SHOUT lets you control which aliens yell when you transform.
You can enable or disable shouts per alien, or toggle them all at once using the /shout command.

Examples:

/shout on * – enable shouts for all aliens

/shout off * – disable shouts for all aliens

/shout on Heatblast – only Heatblast will shout

/shout off Heatblast – Heatblast will no longer shout

Shout settings are saved per player and can be mixed however you want.

Extra Commands

/alienaddall Adds every registered alien to the Omnitrix.

Skips aliens you already have, fills empty slots only and works on yourself or another player. Very useful for testing the omnitrix and you don't wanna add them manually.

/unlockabilities Unlocks all abilities for the alien you are currently transformed into.

Requires the player to be transformed and it works on yourself or another player No need to unlock abilities one by one anymore!

/alienremove Removes any alien from any playlist that you have unlocked.

Only works if the player has the alien, very useful for cleanup purposes. Requested by Quill.

/alienlist Lists every alien you have unlocked.

It lists playlists, slots, and ids all accurately so you can easily check if an alien is in someones playlist.

/zeroout Removes Master Control functions.

Even though it's as easy as running a normal minecraft command that can get annoying, so running this does it faster. Requested by Vakiu.

/uniformset Define a uniform and badge to permanently set to.

Base evo does have a setuniform command, but it only works on the uniform and disables after transformation. This does it permanently and lets you set the badge seperately. Custom watches should work, but make sure not to put in an invalid type or you'll brick your world. Requested by Vakiu.

Plans

In this order, this is what I plan to add to SHOUT:

Golden Collectibles When you max out an alien, get a golden trophy collectible of its species. When you collect all of them, you get a ##########. If you have compatible addons installed, this does make this harder to collect.

Alien Sickness A new effect (how you'll get that effect is TBD) that makes all your aliens sick. Tetramands will have hives, Vulpimancers will have their senses weakened, and Pyronites will go cold. Other aliens will also have unique feats too, whilst non-compatible aliens will have a generic debuff.

Fusions Break your Omnitrix's faceplate and your playlist will be swapped out with a list of 5 fusion aliens instead.

Notes

This should work on multiplayer perfectly fine.
The shout sounds are temporary, I'm looking for some better ones.
Yes, I'm adding addon support too.

Frequently Asked Questions

SHOUT server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is SHOUT compatible with forge?

SHOUT officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with SHOUT – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SHOUT consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
