About this Mod
Sidegrade Weapons
Adds Two new Weapontypes for the vanilla materials, and 4 new Relics with unique effects.
Weapontypes:
Warhammers: "Warhammers are slow, blunt, and overall terrible weapons to swing, But if you gather all your strength into one big blow, You shatter your enemy where they stand. "
Warhammers have generally bad stats, But if you right-click with one, You deal a hit with ~X2 damage, Warhammers accept sword enchants and can sweep, You could use them as an offensive option to a shield in your Offhand slot.
Halberds: "Vicious polearms, The barbed blade allows for fluid to hang on better than a sword's blade, And easily catches mounted foes right off their steed."
Halberds have better damage stats than most things, But they are slow. Attacking a passenger will force them to get dismounted. And there is an enchant unique to halberds, Noxious, Which applies poison on hit.
Halberds sweep, And accept sword enchantments, But they can only get Noxious and nothing else from an Enchantment Table.
Relics:
Emerald Sword: "For the king for the land for the mountains"
The Emerald Sword is as good as an iron sword, but when facing pillagers, witches, ravagers, vindicators, and evokers, It will deal more damage than a netherite sword, It, However, Cannot crit on these creatures.
Burning Claws: "Burn with me!"
Burning Claws ignite your target.
That's it. They do have some cool particle effects, Though. Just like the rest, They accept sword enchants and can sweep.
Emerald Warhammer: "The President!?"
The Emerald Warhammer acts similar to an Iron one, But deals FOUR TIMES MORE DAMAGE to ravagers,
Cursed Sword: "An Ominous artifact from a drier, More hostile land."
The Cursed Sword inflicts poison, and will cause your target to occasionally drop a rotten flesh or bone on-hit.
REMARKS:
Currently, the Relics have recipes, This is not intended and is planned to be changed later to be obtained through loot
The Warhammer ability does not gain more damage from sharpness, and pending testing to whether it does from strength, This is intended to be fixed later

How to Install Sidegrade Weapons on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Sidegrade Weapons". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Sidegrade Weapons server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Sidegrade Weapons compatible with neoforge?

Server lagging with Sidegrade Weapons – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Sidegrade Weapons consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
