Simple Rope
A simple mod that adds rope to climb up and down from ledges.
About this Mod
This mod adds one item: rope. It can be placed on the side or underside of blocks, and more rope can be dropped down from there. It can also be pulled back up.
The idea behind this mod is to create an easier way to climb down from ledges (for example, in a cave or on a tower) without having to use something like a waterfall. I also wanted to make a mod that is as simple as possible and integrates well with the vanilla experience.
To use: Craft rope using these recipes:

As of version 1.1.0, you can also craft rope using a similar recipe (a line of 3 vertically) with weeping vines or twisting vines.
Place rope on the side or bottom of a solid block. Right click on the rope hook or anywhere on the rope with more rope to extend it. Right click with an empty hand to pull it back up. You can climb on the rope just like a ladder or vine.

Simple Rope server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Simple Rope compatible with neoforge?
Simple Rope officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Simple Rope – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Simple Rope consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
