About this Mod

Adds working slot cars into the game. Simply place down a few tracks, grab a slot car controller, and use the controller on a track to spawn a car! Once a car is placed, using the controller will accelerate the car down the track. Be careful going around corners though; if you go too fast your car may fly off!

The controllers can be dyed any color, and the car it spawns will match.

If you have Entity Culling installed, the cars will need to be added to the Skip Tick Culling list to work properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Slot Cars server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Slot Cars compatible with fabric?

Slot Cars officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.8. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Slot Cars – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Slot Cars consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
