Smelting changes:
Spoiler
Slow Start does a lot of change on smelting most notable is that campfire can be used to smelt pretty much anything that a normal furnace can,
But another change is how long it takes to smelt some items.
Items are separated in three categories Food, Stones and Ores.
Each of these categories have different smelting/cooking time for each furnace types and campfire.

Tweaked and new crafting recipes:
Spoiler
Slow start remove the ability to get wood with your bare hands, so the process of getting your first tools is a bit different.
You'll need to get stick from leaves, bamboo, dead bushes or sapplings.

And use those sticks to make planks.

Stone tools recipes are also changed being only hable to be crafted using stone, deepslate or blackstone, making players rely on wood tools for a bit longer.

Furnaces have a different recipe too.

Iron amors recipes now results in chainmail armors instead.

Now to craft iron armor you need to suround an existing piece of chainmail armor with 4 iron ingots.

Beds will require leather to craft.
