Smart Pets

Smart Pets Tamed wolves and cats are loyal, but not very useful. Smart Pets turns them into real companions you can actually command, with a dead-simple control scheme: just right-click your pet. No commands to memorize, no extra items, no menus. Features

Five command modes, cycled with an empty-hand right-click:

Follow Close — sticks to your side (2–4 blocks)
Follow Far — gives you space (8–12 blocks)
Stay — holds position right where it is
Guard Area — anchors to a spot and defends it
Return Home — walks back to its saved home

Home system — sneak + right-click to set a pet's home. It's remembered across world reloads.
Auto-fetch (dogs) — tamed dogs walk to nearby dropped items and deliver them straight to your inventory. Great for cleaning up after mining or mob farms.
Guard mode — a guarding dog attacks hostile mobs that enter its radius, then returns to its post once the fight is over.
Smart pathfinding and teleport — pets path to you intelligently and teleport to your side when they fall too far behind, so you never lose one.
Fully configurable — every feature can be toggled, and all distances and radii tuned, in a simple JSON file.

Entering Guard Area automatically anchors the guard post to wherever the pet is standing, so walk it into position first, then cycle to Guard. The current mode is shown on your screen each time you switch.
Note: it has to be your own tamed pet, and your hand must be empty. Holding an item performs the normal vanilla action instead.
