This mod is a collection of tweaks and optimizations that improve Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 performance.
About this Mod
SmoothBeta implements various different optimizations to Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 that do not affect gameplay or mechanics of the game.
Current optimizations included:
- Multidraw terrain renderer
- May double or triple FPS
- Makes world loading smoother by offloading some work to GPU
- Takes less RAM by reducing terrain vertex data size by about 42%

- Improves chunk lookup speed
- Improves entity factory lookup speed
- IdentityHashMap
- Improves entity and block entity renderer lookup speed
- Custom entity registry
- Improves entity spawning speed by using generated lambda factories instead of reflection

How to Install SmoothBeta on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (b1.7.3).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "SmoothBeta". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

SmoothBeta server crashes on startup – what to do?
