Smooth Look
Kinematic mouse-look smoothing: the camera eases toward your mouse motion instead of snapping. Press K to toggle, [ / ] to set the strength.
About this Mod
Smooth Look adds an adjustable kinematic layer to your mouse aim. Instead of the camera jumping straight to wherever the mouse points, it eases toward the target rotation, so quick movements become smooth, weighted pans. Think of it as motion-blur-free camera smoothing for a calmer, more cinematic feel.
What it does
- Buffers your raw mouse-look input and releases only a fraction of it per frame, producing a soft, interpolated camera that "catches up" to your mouse.
- Strength is fully adjustable from 0% (instant / vanilla) up to heavy 95% smoothing.
- A small top-left indicator (
Smooth 65%) shows the current strength while the mod is enabled. - Your settings (on/off + strength) are saved to a config file and restored next launch.
Controls
- K — toggle smoothing on/off (default off, so installing changes nothing until you switch it on).
- [ — decrease smoothing strength by 5%.
- ] — increase smoothing strength by 5%.
Notes
- Pure client-side, no server install needed. Works on any Fabric server, fully vanilla compatible.
- Smoothing affects only what you see locally — server-side aim/hit packets carry your real resulting rotation as usual.
- Per-frame smoothing, so the feel scales with your frame rate.
