About this Mod
🐴 SmoothMount
SmoothMount overhauls the mounting and dismounting mechanics in Minecraft, replacing instant teleportation with smooth, natural animations. The mod adds a cinematic touch to interacting with mounts, making gameplay more immersive and visually pleasing.

✨ How it Works?
In vanilla Minecraft, the player instantly teleports onto the creature's back, which often looks abrupt and breaks immersion.
SmoothMount fixes this:
- Mounting Animation: A full animation plays showing the character climbing into the saddle.
- Dismounting Animation: When getting off, the player smoothly lowers themselves to the ground instead of instantly appearing standing next to the mount.
- Dynamic Camera: The camera gently follows the player's movement during the animation, avoiding sharp jumps in viewing angle and creating a sense of presence.

🐾 Supported Entities
The current beta versions support the following mobs with full animation implementation:
- 🐎 Horses, Donkeys, Mules
- 🐷 Pigs
⚠️ Limitations
On other rideable entities (camels, striders, boats, minecarts, etc.), animations are not yet played, and mounting occurs in the standard way.
Support for additional transport will be added in future updates.
Please note that existing animations may also be refined or changed in future updates.
⚔️ Conflicts
- Entity Model Features (EMF): There is partial support, but animations may appear jittery or stuttering.
- Other mods have not been tested

SmoothMount server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is SmoothMount compatible with fabric?

Server lagging with SmoothMount – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SmoothMount consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
