About this Mod

SoftBody is a physics based Minecraft mod that makes the game world feel alive through smooth wobbling, shaking, bouncing, and soft motion effects. Movement, impacts, explosions, and interactions all gain reactive animation that adds a dynamic and chaotic feel to gameplay while still keeping Minecraft recognizable.

Instead of everything feeling stiff and rigid, SoftBody introduces procedural motion systems that make entities and environmental reactions feel more fluid and expressive. The mod focuses on visual polish, satisfying motion, and playful physics inspired effects that work naturally during normal gameplay.

Features include:

Smooth wobble and shake effects
Reactive motion during movement and impacts
Soft physics inspired animation systems
Dynamic visual feedback for gameplay interactions
Multiplayer friendly design
Configurable settings for effect intensity

SoftBody is designed for players who want Minecraft to feel more animated, energetic, and fun without completely changing the core experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Softbody server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Softbody compatible with fabric?

Softbody officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.2, 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Softbody – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Softbody consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
