SoftReset
A mod that can give your server a fresh start without deleting the world.
About this Mod
This highly configurable mod enabled you to give your server a fresh start without resetting the world. By using this mod you basically fully reset the world, except it's still the same world, just far away from any old builds, this way the server feels fresh but later when better travel methods can be used (like elytra's) you can still visit the old builds on the server.
To perform a soft reset run /softreset followed by softreset confirm to confirm (it will first list everything it will reset). This command can only be run with OP. After running the command the features listed below will run (configurable). When the command is run every player gets kicked and joins are blocked until the reset completes. All features are enabled by default but can be turned off in the config.
World features:
- New world spawn: The world spawn is moved to a new location, this mod keeps track of all old world spawns and makes sure every new world spawn is a completely unique location.
- New world spawn distance: The distance between the current world spawn and the new one. This mod will always make sure the distance between every old world spawn and the new world spawn is always at least this distance. Set to 1 million blocks by default.
- Reset spawnpoints: Resets the position and spawnpoint of every player so every player starts at the (new) world spawn.
- Reset end: Completely wipes the end dimension and resets the dragon fight.
- Reset time: Resets the world time, making it sunrise.
- Reset weather: Resets the worlds weather, making it clear.

Server lagging with SoftReset – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SoftReset consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
