Solid Mobs
About
A Minecraft Fabric mod that gives entities collisions and interactions like blocks or boats already do.
Standing on a mob has you move with them, and you can hold crouch to stick to the mob and not fall off (as can happen with high lag).
Slimes can be set to be bouncy like slime blocks.
Mobs can be set to take a percentage of fall damage when fallen on.
The config("minecraft/config/solid_mobs.json") and command (/solid_mobs) allows tweaking of certain collisions, for example you can disable player collisions, pet collisions, & even tweak the amount of fall damage transferred to mobs being fallen onto.
For multiplayer this mod MUST be on both the server and client, (single player is fine) otherwise you will have stuttering and de-sync while colliding with mobs (you won't crash or any issue like that, but it is annoying).

Features
- all living mobs are collide-able (with some exceptions that can be set by the config & some hardcoded like the ender dragon that act a bit weird)
- config file ("minecraft/config/solid_mobs.json") can be set to enable or disable certain collisions and tweak fall damage transfer amount among other settings
- Command
/solid_mobsallows controlling all settings in-game - option to have the mobs fallen onto take a percentage of the fall damage
- option to have slimes be bouncy like slime blocks
- option to disable specific mob collisions
- option to only collide with the top surface of mobs like platforms
- when walking/riding a mob you move with them
- can hold crouch while on a mob to snap to it and never fall off
- Server config will sync with joining clients
- mod will auto disable if the server does not have this mod installed

Solid Mobs server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Solid Mobs compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Solid Mobs officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Solid Mobs – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Solid Mobs consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
