About this Mod

Soulbound

A Minecraft mod that adds a Soulbound enchantment, allowing items to persist through death and automatically return to the player upon respawning.

Features

  • Soulbound Enchantment: Apply this enchantment to any item to prevent it from being dropped on death
  • Automatic Item Return: Soulbound items are automatically restored to their original inventory slots when you respawn
  • Smart Inventory Management: If a slot is occupied, the mod will attempt to place items in available slots or drop them near the player

How It Works

When you die with Soulbound-enchanted items:

  1. The mod saves all Soulbound items and their inventory positions
  2. Items are removed from your inventory to prevent duplication
  3. Upon respawning, items are returned to their original slots
  4. If slots are occupied, items are placed in available slots or dropped nearby

Installation

  1. Ensure you have Fabric Loader installed
  2. Download the latest release
  3. Place the mod JAR file in your .minecraft/mods folder
  4. Launch Minecraft with the Fabric profile

Requirements

  • Minecraft (Fabric)
  • Fabric API
  • Java 21

Technical Details

This mod uses Mixin to inject into the game's player death and respawn mechanics, ensuring Soulbound items are handled properly without interfering with other game systems.
