About this Mod
This is a mod designed at bringing 'Dead Souls' to Fabric with some improvements and additional features. Dead Souls heavily inspired this mod.
Fully customizable floating particles known as souls. Designed to be fair and not overpowered, you can choose when the souls will despawn (if ever) You can also choose who has access to each soul. If you like you can also modify the amount of the players XP that will get stored on death! If you prefer to have it a little easier, players can be allowed to teleport to their souls by changing the configuration. Admins and Mods can also check on each soul and inspect it or remove it along with many other features.

SoulGuard server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is SoulGuard compatible with fabric?
SoulGuard officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.6. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with SoulGuard – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SoulGuard consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
