About this Mod
Are you an old Minecraft PE player and miss the Nether Reactor Core? Are you relatively new to minecraft and want to see what it might've been like? Well here's my version of the old relic. It's not a 1:1 recreation but rather being faithful to what it was like to build it up and how it felt being within. It's designed off the nether fortress as inspiration for the design change. It's relatively easy to get once you've entered the nether for the first time and crafting/setup is simple enough, but don't be fooled. If you start without preparing, you'll be extremely regretful.
So, here's essentially everything that the mod adds with some guidance
- A new stand-alone ingot (Infernal Gold Ingot), crafted with a gold ingot, nether quartz, and netherrack. (Changed since 1.1.0 now being one gold ingot and 3 blaze powder)
- The infamous Nether Reactor Core, crafted with two lines of iron ingots along the sides, a diamond on top and bottom, and the infernal ingot placed in the center.
- To setup, build as you would like in the past. If you are unsure or forget how, simply go to YouTube and search up an old tutorial. Same blocks and same block pattern. Be careful where you build it, this structure will destroy a 15x15 area surrounding the reactor core.
- Once built, right click the center and brace yourself. The structure will spawn around you after one second of delay. Inside, there are 8 nether fortress chests and a blaze spawner. They don't stay for long, because after 60 seconds the spawner gets destroyed and the chests break open. The rest of the structure will decay some as well with clearing out anything built or changed by the player.
- A deserted version of the base reactor setup can be found rarely in forests
This is not planned to be backported to 1.19 nor other APIs. It might be updated over time and might even see newer versions once they're released to mcreator. One update is planned to give advancements and other small changes and additions. If you wish to use the workspace (for MCreator), just let me know. You can use this mod and it's workspace however you want. This is just a quick fun little project that I got done in a day. Hope you enjoy!
