About this Mod
Speedrunning A Random Item
A singleplayer challenge mod for Minecraft 1.21.11.
Roll a random target item, pick a complication, and get it as fast as you can.
This mod almost completely repeats the rubric of the YouTuber KompotikIvun
How it works
When you create a world, a new Random tab appears in the world creation screen.
Roll a random item and a random complication, then start the world.
The timer starts on your first input — mouse movement or keypress.
Collect the required number of the target item to stop the clock.
Complications
27 complications that make the run harder (or just weirder):
| Category | Complications |
|---|---|
| Movement | Snail (no sprinting), Giant (×2 size), Midget (×0.5 size) |
| Vision | Mole (min render distance), Noir (black & white shader), Cockeyed (inverted mouse) |
| Diet | Vegetarian (no meat), Carnivore (meat only) |
| Inventory | Holes in Pockets (hotbar only), One-armed (no offhand), Fragile Bones (no armor) |
| World | Vastness (Large Biomes), Maximalism (Amplified) |
| Danger | Hydrophobe (instant death in water), Thalassophobe (pushed away from oceans) |
| Sensitivity | Turtle (min mouse sensitivity), Sonic (max mouse sensitivity) |
| Social | Antisocial (villagers won't trade), Insomnia (can't sleep) |
| Perspective | Protagonist (first person only), NPC (third person only) |
| Misc | Deafness (no sound), Acceleration (×2 tickrate), Ignoramus (no recipe book), Twins (collect ×2), Triplets (collect ×3) |
