Spiders Shoot Webs
Spiders shoot webs to trap their prey
About this Mod
🕷 Spiders Shoot Webs (Beta)
Spiders are no longer just close-range hunters.
With this mod installed, spiders can now shoot webs at fast-moving players, forcing you to rethink how you fight — and how you run.
What Changes?
When a spider is chasing you and you try to sprint away, it may:
- Stop briefly
- Lock onto you
- Fire a web projectile
- Leave a cobweb where it lands
That cobweb can slow you down, block movement, or reshape the battlefield in tight spaces.
Running blindly through caves is no longer always safe.
Designed to Feel Vanilla+
- Web shots are situational — not constant spam
- Spiders still use melee attacks and leap behavior
- The new ability adds pressure without completely replacing vanilla combat
The goal is to make spiders feel smarter and slightly more dangerous, without turning them into ranged monsters.
⚠ Beta Notice
This mod is currently in Beta.
Attack timing, range, cooldowns, and movement thresholds may change as balancing continues.
Future updates will likely introduce configurable values so you can tune the difficulty to your preference.
If spiders feel too aggressive — or not threatening enough — feedback is welcome.
Survival just got stickier.
