SPMod (Simple Progression Mod) - A mod that changes the process of obtaining iron, beds, and also adds a lot of new things.
Currently, the mod includes the following:
- A modified process for obtaining iron
- A piece of cloth (for beds)
- Ender chunks (obtained with a diamond pickaxe from the Ender ore after killing the dragon)
- Some vanilla recipes have been modified
- Nuclear Revolution: Nuclear bomb's craft and many other
- Post-Apocalyptic 1.0: Gasmask, gas and radiation systems; many other
The process of obtaining iron is as follows:
Spoiler
- Obtain 20 clay
- Refine the clay in the furnace
- Make 4 brick blocks
- Place 4 bricks in the corners of the workbench, and 4 brick blocks on the sides
- Get more clay to craft clay buckets (3 per bucket)
- Craft clay buckets (no need to refine the clay)
- Put a cobblestone, a clay bucket, and coal in the clay furnace
- Take the resulting bucket of hot iron
- On the blacksmith's table (the craft has been modified for crafting before obtaining iron), combine 2 any stones (andesite, diorite, granite, etc.) and hot iron
- After obtaining 5 small pieces of iron in this way, combine them to obtain a hammer
- Next, having 2 more small pieces of iron and combining them with a hammer, you can craft an iron ingot
- To upgrade a stone pickaxe to an iron pickaxe, combine a stone pickaxe, a hammer, and a small piece of iron on a workbench.
- To craft other items, you may need an iron plate, which can be made by combining a hammer and an iron ingot on a workbench.
Additionally, the crafting of the diamond pickaxe has been modified. It requires a bucket of hot iron, an iron pickaxe, and 1 diamond. It can be crafted on a blacksmith's table.
- There is a test content. If you meet him, he will most likely either not be working or be unbalanced. Keep this in mind.

SPMod server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is SPMod compatible with neoforge?
SPMod officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with SPMod – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SPMod consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
