About this Mod

Stamina

Stamina is a lightweight datapack/mod that adds a customizable stamina system to Minecraft!
Running, jumping, and swimming now consume energy — making movement feel more meaningful and survival a bit more challenging.

BIG CHANGE 1.0.6

Starting with version 1.0.6, a language selection option is available; currently, the options are German and English. The language selection screen appears when a new player joins or when the data pack is loaded. To ensure you receive the update, I recommend using the following commands:

/scoreboard objectives remove Language

/scoreboard objectives remove LanguageSpam

/scoreboard objectives remove Stamina

🔧 Features

  • 🟩 Visible stamina value (see Gallery)
  • 🏃 Energy drain when sprinting, jumping, fighting and swimming
  • 🔁 Stamina regenerates over time when resting
  • ⚙️ Fully customizable behavior via datapack functions
  • 🧱 Designed in a Minecraft-style, immersive and minimal

📦 Installation

  1. Drop the datapack into your world's datapacks/ folder
  2. Reload the world with /reload
  3. Done! Stamina is now active.

🛠 Configuration

Modify the following files inside the datapack to adjust:

  • tick.mcfunction: how stamina is drained or recovered
  • Scoreboard goals: for tracking stamina (stamina, SprintDist, etc.)
  • Actionbar messages: HUD display logic

🎮 Gameplay Example

When sprinting, your stamina bar will start to drop. If it hits zero, you’ll slow down and need to wait for it to regenerate. Strategic movement is now part of survival!

Frequently Asked Questions

Stamina! server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Stamina! compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?

Stamina! officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Stamina! – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Stamina! consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
