StashCache
A mod for remembering where you put your items

About this Mod
StashCache remembers items you have seen in storage containers and lets you search for them later with an in-game overlay.
Reqiuirements: Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
After installing, look into some chests. then:
Press K, type an item name/id/enchant/lore and StashCache shows where it has seen matching items. Select a result to add a client-side only waypoint so you can find it.
Works in Singleplayer and Muliplayer.
It should support:
- Chests, trapped chests, including double chests
- Barrels
- Shulker boxes
- Ender chests
- Hoppers
- Droppers
- Dispensers
StashCache only knows about containers you have opened while the mod is installed. The cache can get stale if the containers get modified after you look inside them.
This mod does not achieve more than what you could do with a simple pen and paper, but some servers might still consider it a cheat, so be careful. Ye be warned.

StashCache server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is StashCache compatible with fabric?
StashCache officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.2, 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with StashCache – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if StashCache consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
