About this Mod

📜 Features 📜
Sterling adds a collection of new and upgraded weapons, each with their own abilities and fighting styles, all aiming to keep in line with the vanilla style.
🢂 5 New melee weapon types; in every material
Spoiler
The parrying blade is slower than a traditional sword, but provides extra defense when held. Higher tiers provide more defense.

The pike is stronger and longer than the sword, having an extra block of entity reach, but it is quite heavy, giving it a slower attack speed. It's used to poke enemies at a distance, so it does not have a sweep attack, and cannot be enchanted with sweeping edge. It can be enchanted with impaling. It also accepts the new Lengthening enchantment, increasing its reach.

The scythe is the heaviest of all weapons. This repurposed farming implement is slow to attack, but deals heavy damage with an extra half block of entity reach. It also accepts the new Lengthening enchantment, increasing its reach.

The shortsword is light and agile with a high attack speed, but slightly lower reach and damage. The shortsword's attack speed can be further increased by wielding a shortsword of the same material in the offhand.

The warhammer is a heavy weapon that is capable of stunning targets. Stun only applies with a fully charged attack, causing a flash and inflicting slowness for 0.5 seconds. It also accepts the new Concussion enchantment, increasing the duration of the stun.

🢂 Upgraded bows; either increase damage and durability with material reinforcements, or maintain perfect accuracy with the stabilized bow
Spoiler
Reinforced bows can be made with gold, iron, diamond and netherite. Reinforcements increase damage and durability.

The stabilized bow can be made with copper and a slimeball. It has perfect accuracy.

🢂 4 new arrow types with unique functions
Spoiler
From left to right:
Amethyst Arrow: crafted with amethyst, creating twice as many arrows as with flint. They emit a "ding!" when hitting an enemy. (Normal arrows emit a sound when hitting players only). Is destroyed on impact with blocks.
Ethereal Arrow: crafted with phantom membrane. Ignores gravity. Will fall to the ground if they slow down too much.
Quartz Arrow: splits into 5 quarts darts after traveling a certain distance. These shards deal full arrow damage.
Sonic Arrow: crafted with echo shards. Ignores gravity, and is stationary when fired. Rapidly accelerates and emits a sonic boom upon reaching maximum speed, and pierces up to 10 enemies. Is destroyed on impact with blocks.

🢂 2 new enchantments
Spoiler
Lengthening: increases entity reach by 0.5 blocks per level. Max level: 2. Can be applied to Scythes and Pikes.
Concussion: increases duration of stun by 0.125 seconds per level. Max level: 4. Can be applied to Warhammers.
