About this Mod
Based on a concept in a video by PhoenixSC, Stringer Things aims to properly bring string tools to minecraft! Finally, now I don't have to raid an armour boss on an ender-wither-guardian to get that silk touch pick!
The Items
This mod adds 5 new tools to the game:

All of these items come with built-in silk touch (because it's string, of course) and can be used to harvest the respective blocks they work on. They also work as regular tools, but they're not very sturdy. They are still made out of string after all.
This is a version one of the mod, based on a concept I probably shouldn't be this excited for. Will I expand on it in the future? ...Maybe. Maybe. If this mod gains traction, who knows. Some new stringy ideas might find their way out of my head and into the code of this silly mod.

How to Install Stringer Things on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2-rc-1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Stringer Things". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Stringer Things server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2-rc-1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Server lagging with Stringer Things – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Stringer Things consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
