About this Mod

Using this mod you can visualize structure files (.nbt) in the world to aid with building.

By default the mod comes with 9 keybinds:

Open Structure Menu (defaults to Numpad 9)
Move X Up (defaults to Numpad 8)
Move X Down (defaults to Numpad 7)
Structure Coordinates (defaults to Numpad 6)
Move Y Up (defaults to Numpad 5)
Move Y Down (defaults to Numpad 4)
Toggle Render (defaults to Numpad 3)
Move Z Up (defaults to Numpad 2)
Move Z Down (defaults to Numpad 1)

When you first launch the game you'll have no structures to select. To add structures you have to add the structure files (.nbt) to your mods/structures folder.

Once in the structures folder the mod will see them and you'll be able to select them.

How to Install Structure Visualizer on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.16.5).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Structure Visualizer". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Structure Visualizer server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.16.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Structure Visualizer compatible with forge?

Structure Visualizer officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.16.5, 1.16.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Structure Visualizer – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Structure Visualizer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
