Survivalism
Make more with less, whether you want some wheat without a whole farm or want some charcoal without a whole furnace

About this Mod
The point of Survivalism is to make it easier to obtain base game items without going as far as mining or building. Who wants this? Someone like me, who has the attention span of a very mentally defficient field mouse. You can get straight wheat from grass (though its rarer than seeds), or make charcoal by crafting two sticks, some flint, and wood together, rather than having to build an entire furnace for it. You can also get charcoal by burning wood in a campfire, because... yeah? Honestly that one should be a vanilla feature. If you're low on string, you can get 3 from one wool block.
Also, you can get the four clay balls out of a clay block by crafting it. Before you'd have to place and break it. I'm not sure this will help many people, but who knows? It just... fit.

Survivalism server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Survivalism compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Survivalism officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Survivalism – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Survivalism consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
