Sword Blocking Plus

Sword Blocking Plus is an add-on that reintroduces the classic pre-1.9 sword blocking as an enchantment.

Features

Adds a custom enchantment, Blocking, which;
If applied to a weapon (swords, axes, or maces), allows the enchanted weapon to block attacks similar to a shield.
Has two levels:
- Blocking I
  - Faithful to pre-1.9 sword blocking
  - Blocks 50% of damage
  - Takes away 6 durability per hit.
- Blocking II
  - Similar to modern shields
  - Blocks 100% of damage
  - Takes away 25 durability per hit.

Installation

Data Pack
- Drop the datapack in your world’s datapacks folder
Fabric / Quilt / Forge / NeoForge
- Drop the .jar file in the %appdata%/.minecraft/mods folder

How to Install Sword Blocking Plus on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set datapack Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.10).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Sword Blocking Plus". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
