About this Mod

This mod adds NPCs inspired by the STALKER games.

There are two factions currently, the Duty and the Bandits, they both drop different armors and weapons

    -Requirements/Compatibility-

  • SmartBrainLib
  • TACZ
  • Geckolib
  • (OPTIONAL) MarbledsArsenal (Required for default armor to spawn without making a datapack)
  • (OPTIONAL) TACZ: Durability (Guns will spawn with random durability and  npc guns will jam)

Rendering and use of armors and TACZ guns - NPCs will use TACZ guns from any addon pack just like a player would, including rocket launchers, grenade launchers and flamethrowers, to name a few.

Rank system - NPCs spawn with different ranks, Rookie, Experienced, Veteran and Expert. These ranks are mostly taken from STALKER and denote which armor the npc will spawn with, using a datapack you can specify for different ranks to spawn with any items including rank specific guns or drops. Patches are currently cosmetic but will be used for faction quests later on and villager trades.

Datapack configuration - The datapack is set up in a really simple way, using vanilla loot tables and tags to spawn full sets of armor on NPCs, there are two hardcoded loot tables, the contents can be changed but the name cannot, in the loot table you can specify tags of armor sets to spawn and certain guns to spawn, if you are ever confused try just changing the tags to different armor sets. To get the default datapack just unzip the mod .jar with something like 7zip.

MOBS DO NOT CURRENTLY NATURALLY SPAWN, NEXT UPDATE WILL HAVE STRUCTURES FOR MOBS TO SPAWN IN, ONLY EXECPTION IS BANDITS THEY SPAWN IN PILLAGER OUTPOSTS.
