About this Mod
Ever crafted an iron pickaxe, got ready to enchant it to get fortune? Found a god roll iron sword in an end city? Templated can help you! Using the brand new diamond upgrade smithing template in a smithing table, you can upgrade your enchanted iron tools to diamond!
Obtainment
Diamond upgrades are available from zombies, skeletons and those pesky phantoms!
They are also craftable with 4 stone, 4 iron and 1 diamond!
Tridents
After hacking your way through hoardes of fishy blobs shooting magic lasers you might expect to obtained the fabled trident, the weapon of the seas, wielded by Poseidon himself! But... no. In fact you get nothing. Except sponges.
Well Templated gives you your well deserved trident, after a little work.
After slaying elder guardians you will be able to obrain a "Guardian Quill" and when crafted with a trident handle (Put together by using a diamond upgrade on a stick alongside a prismarine shard) you can then take your place as the king of the seas.
About The Mod
My second ever mod, I put it together in a couple of hours. I intend to add a togglable option to remove the normal diamond tools recipe. I originally designed this mod for a personal modpack I'm messing around with, the diamond upgrade is slightly harder to obtain in that as I wanted to extend progression slightly more. Drawing out how long I use tools for, so if you want to have the same affect I'd recommend using something like KubeJS to change the recipe ("templated:diamond_upgrade") and make it harder.
My other idea behind the diamond templates was to make it so crafting diamond tools didn't feel so costly in terms of diamond early game, I hate feeling like I wasted my diamonds on an axe when I could use the iron axe, which leads to me using the slower option leaving me bored when I have to clear out a hill with my busted iron shovel which breaks after a few swings. It also allows me to enchant my gear earlier into my gameplay without feeling I've wasted my luck on something useless.
You may use this in your modpack, this mod and it's code is not to be uploaded to any other sites without major changes made to the source code.
