Content Drop 1: Healthy Dose
Budding Life Crystals and Life Shards
Budding Life Crystals can be found around the diamond level of the underground, and will slowly grow Life Crystal Clusters. These can be mined with a regular pickaxe to get Life Shards, or a Silk Touch pickaxe to be used as decoration. Budding Life Crystals cannot be mined with silk touch, and there is no way to accelerate crystal growth. Unlike Budding Amethyst however, Budding Life Crystals will also drop Life Shards when broken, albeit not nearly as many.
Life Crystals
Life Shards can be crafted together in a heart-shaped formation to create a Life Crystal, which can increase your max life by 1 heart [health gained is configurable], and caps out at a grand total of 20 hearts [health cap is also configurable]. Here's the catch however... the health boost is not permanent. As soon as you die, your max health is reset back to its default values. This encourages players to try and stay alive, or to explore caves for more Life Crystals.
If you're running low on storage space, you can pack 9 Life Crystals into a Block of Life Crystal!
Life Fruit
Life Fruit is a new food item, crafted with Life Shards and Glow Berries. While it doesn't offer much in saturation, it makes up for that by applying Health Boost 5 for 30 seconds [amplifier and duration are configurable] when eaten. However, it has a cooldown of about 5/6ths of the effects duration [Also Configurable], and can only be eaten if you have max Life Crystal health.
Heart Lantern
Surrounding a Lantern with 4 Life Shards will net you a Heart Lantern! This lovely red light source will provide a bit of regen when interacted with, but will then proceed to crack, reducing the amount of light it gives off. The Heart Lantern's regen abilities can be used a total of 3 times, before eventually becoming a Broken Heart Lantern. Broken Heart Lanterns do not give off light, and do not offer any sort of regen. You can repair your damaged Heart Lanterns using Life Shards.
Yellow Willow Trees
Spawning rarely in forests and plains, these Yellow Willow trees offer not only new yellow leaves and vines, but also a new Yellow Willow wood set! If you're having trouble finding them however, you can also get them from the Wandering Trader!
Secrets?
There are features in the mod that, currently, are not listed here. I suggest you download the mod, use the base config options, hop onto a survival world, and find these yourself naturally... I wont spoil what you may find, but I'm sure you'll have a magical experience. ;)
Known Issues
- If Amendments is installed, Heart Lanterns can't be used when placed on walls.
- A certain config option may potentially cause certain items to lag servers when held. While having this enabled was the intended way to play, it is now disabled by default due to this issue.
Planned Features
These are all the currently planned mod features! Note that nothing here is concrete, and I am only one dev, so it may take a while for these to be implemented!
Next Update
- Glowing Mushroom Fields! Found similarly to Lush Caves, featuring Spore Bats and other mushroom-themed mobs!
Considered
- Lunar Events! Rare events to make your nights (or days) tougher! Usually require a special item to start.
Likely Won't Be Added
- Summoner Whips
- New Melee/Ranger Weapons
- New Armor Sets/Set Bonuses
- Accessories
- New Dungeons
- New Bosses/Boss Reworks
