The Abyss Follows You (Fabric)

The Abyss Follows You is a chaotic, highly engaging survival challenge mod where your own footsteps are your greatest threat.

Every block you step on is marked, and after a short delay, it vanishes forever—taking the entire vertical column from the sky down to bedrock with it.

New in Version 2.0:

• Smart Foliage Bypass: Outline frames spawn accurately under your feet, completely ignoring tree leaves above your head.
• Water & Lava Support: Challenge yourself in the oceans! Particle outlines now render correctly directly on the surface of fluids.
• Ceiling Traps: If you are falling through empty space but there is a bridge or ceiling above you, the mod will track and collapse the blocks above, rendering the outline on their bottom face.
• Spawn Protection: Receive 5 seconds of grace protection upon respawning to prevent immediate falls.
• Performance Optimized: Clean and sharp particles that render every 3 server ticks to prevent overlapping and game lag.

Game Modes

You can fully control and customize the mod directly in-game using the /abyss commands:

• Normal Mode: Blocks disappear after a customizable delay (giving you a brief window to run).
• Paranoia Mode: Blocks disappear instantly under your feet. Every step requires absolute focus and quick jumps!

Commands (OP Only)

• /abyss start — Triggers a 5-second ticking countdown before activating the abyss challenge.
• /abyss stop — Pause the challenge, disable spawn protection, and clear all pending blocks.
• /abyss mode normal — Switch to normal mode (with delay).
• /abyss mode paranoia — Switch to paranoia mode (instant deletion).
• /abyss delay <seconds> — Change the deletion delay (from 1 to 120 seconds).
• /abyss status — Check the current state and configurations.
