About this Mod
The Ancient Towns ⛏️

Is mining for resources getting a little bit repetitive? Prepare to uncover the forgotten depths!
▶️ ABOUT
Ancient Towns completely overhauls your underground exploration by introducing massive, abandoned settlements hidden deep within the caves. Designed to feel like a natural extension of the vanilla game, these sprawling ruins offer a thrilling and rewarding experience for anyone brave enough to step into the darkness and explore what was left behind.
Instead of simple, repetitive dungeons, this mod utilizes a highly complex procedural generation system featuring over 180 unique, individually crafted architectural pieces. This guarantees that every single settlement you stumble upon will have a completely different layout, full of crumbling corridors, ruined plazas, and hidden secrets. Currently, the mod features two massive type of abandoned underground town, but more unique town styles and structural variants will be added in future updates.
The risk of exploring these dark depths is well worth it. Scattered throughout the debris and forgotten structures, you will find chests containing vanilla-balanced loot. These rewards are carefully placed to enhance your survival and mining progression without breaking the game's economy, encouraging you to thoroughly investigate every dark corner of these ancient structures.
▶️ HOW TO FIND A TOWN
These structures are enormous, so they generate deep underground and are somewhat rare to prevent cluttering the cave systems. You can also use the command:
- /locate structure the_ancients:deepslate_town
- /locate structure the_ancients:dripstone_town
