About this Mod
Welcome To The Fossils Mod!

The Fossils Mod is a museum-building mod that adds over 500 highly detailed fossils that vary in size from individual fossil slabs to large skeletons that require many pieces to make. Currently, we have fossils representing every time period from the Ediacaran to the present, representing 580 million years of life's history in Minecraft. From the small Protozoea to the famous Tyrannosaurus, we are excited to see your museums and what you decide to fill it with!
Getting Started
In order to get started, get an iron pickaxe and mine the various fossil ores that will generate throughout the overworld, each corresponding to a different time period. Once you get a fossil, you can place it down in your world. Depending on color will determine how many pieces of that fossil you will need to complete it— Either 5, 10, 15, or 20 pieces. If you want to rotate a fossil, you can right click with an empty hand to turn it clockwise, or shift left click to turn it counter-clockwise. If you want to support your skeletons, you can also left click a skeleton with iron bars to generate supports.
