The Maze Runner

The Flare virus is a highly infectious bio-engineered disease that speads among villagers, hostile mobs, and players. The Flare also damages the player randomly when they have the virus and cannot be removed from milk. However (unlike the book), there is a cure item that cures the player and any entities that have the Flare by simply right-clicking. Using this cure will give you some other––unpleasent effects. Most importantly however, every eleven minutes of in-game time your max-health decreases. Note that all these reductions in max-health/health all depend on the amplifier. Speaking of that, every 25 minutes, the amplifier increases by one, with a max cap of seven. Also, if you have the Flare and you die, a husk will spawn in your place.

Flare Cure
This item can cure the Flare virus.

Flare Injector
This item applies the Flare when right-clicked. If done on an entity, it will give that entity the Flare.

PLEASE NOTE: As of R1.0.0, the Flare Cure and Flare Injector DO NOT work on villagers :(

Say hello to WICKED's horrid abomination. This bio-mechanical entity resembles a six legged scorpion but with two flimsy arms. This horrifying creature lurks in the Maze and attacks all players (which have priority), passive mobs, and villagers. It can match pace with a sprint-jumping player and ruthlessly murders them on sight. While it can sure kill you with just three chomps of its mouth, perhaps its most horrifying ability is its sting. Not because of its damage but because once stung, the target will get the Flare virus. Note that the Griever is immune to being infected by the Flare. However, if you think you can escape by climbing the thick ivy that lines the Maze's walls, think twice––it can climb too...
