About this Mod
What is this
A quick mixin mod that removes EVERY toast in the game, including but not limited to:
- The annoying "tutorial" toasts
- Recipe unlock toasts
- "Messages can't be verified" on servers with
enforce-secure-profileoff.
Why does this exist?
Methane from 2.3 onwards has an almost identical toast remover, but since it also has features most people don't want, I decided to release this standalone. Another thing is that all the other "toast removal" mods on modrinth don't seem to be maintained, so this is a more "modern" alternative.
The "main goal" for this mod is to always support the latest MC versions, and has been designed in such a way. normally this mod will work on later versions of MC than what is listed.
Also has a neat performance boost because all the logic for presenting and rendering toasts is pretty slow (albeit infrequent after you progress into the late game.)

The Forge port will be released when Half-Life 3 has released. (there's a chance!)

How to Install The Open Sauce Toast Killer on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "The Open Sauce Toast Killer". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
