The Scorched Biome
The Scorched is a dry, burned region where the Overworld has been consumed by volcanic heat.
Instead of normal grass, dirt, and stone, the land is covered in dark volcanic blocks, patches of magma, and rough basalt formations.
This biome is meant to feel dangerous, mysterious, and rewarding to explore.
Ashbound Forger
The Ashbound Forger is a special NPC found within the Scorched lands.
Unlike a normal villager, the Ashbound Forger does not focus on regular trading. Instead, it gives the player tasks and guides them through the mysteries of the Scorched biome.
When players first interact with the Ashbound Forger, they can receive a task book. As the player completes objectives, the book can update with new tasks, allowing progression to continue over time.
The Ashbound Forger is designed to act as the heart of the mod’s progression system, connecting exploration, survival, structures, and rewards together.
Cinder Membrane
Cinder Membrane is a new material connected to creatures adapted to the Scorched biome.
It can be used as part of the mod’s progression and may serve as a volcanic alternative to rare survival materials.
Ashbound Content
The mod also introduces Ashbound-themed blocks, structures, and progression elements.
These are connected to the strange inhabitants and history of the Scorched lands.
Players may encounter Ashbound structures while exploring and discover special blocks such as the Ashbound Chest and Scorched Forge.
Goal of the Mod
The goal of The Scorched is to add a biome that feels like it belongs in Minecraft, while still making exploration more exciting.
It is not just a visual biome.
The Scorched is planned as a complete survival area with its own atmosphere, resources, mobs, structures, NPCs, quests, and progression.
Current Status
The mod is currently in development.
More features, mobs, structures, blocks, quests, and gameplay systems are planned for future updates.
