About this Mod
What had happened to this mod's development?
Well, sadly it got corrupted right before I could publish v0.9.0 back in december, which made me so sad, I just left the mod where it was, and began working on other projects. However, now I'm reviving the mod on the latest Minecraft version! I just started recoding everything from scratch based on the old version, so it can be saved.
If you are still interested in playing this mod, check around every few weeks for updates! I'm might writeabout progress regarding the rework!
Nevermind
Turns out, my PC crashed so bad, that every single Minecraft related project got corrupted. Luckly, I had developed only this one mod, but my empty projects are showing non-existent errors as well. For now, it is literally impossible to develop Minecraft mods on my PC! So that's great.

The Staff Awakens - AvM Staff Mod
Have you ever watched an animation and said I wish this was in the real game?
Well, this mod does exactly that.

-----------------------
The Staff Awakens mod is a fan-made alternative adaptation of Alan Becker’s AvM series. The main concept of the mod is set of staffs, which can use Minecraft blocks’ powers when equipped as a core. While the mod might not be canonically accurate, it focuses on giving a vanilla style gameplay compatible with survival Minecraft. This includes a wide variety of staffs arranged in a tech tree, as well as a Mana point system for the player. The powers of the blocks also sometimes vary from the original to better fit the current development of the player in their world. This means, that these staffs are not just end game items, but they can be used from the start of the world and can be progressed during the regular gameplay through the tech tree.
Don’t forget to check out Alan Becker’s animation here, as the original idea comes from him!

A little bit about me
Hi, I’m Dulidanci and this is my first mod publicly available. The idea for the mod came last summer, and after planning out a bunch of things, I started development in September of 2024. I had to learn java from scratch and learn Minecraft coding from tutorials, documentations and AI. After the mod got corrupted in December 2025, it was put on hold, but as of April 2026, it had been continued on the newest Minecraft version. I am planning to complete this project before I go to college, but it’s a long way to go, so I would appreciate any help or tip with coding. Also, if anyone has great ideas for future development, make sure to tell me, as it can highly improved the speed of the mod creation.
