About this Mod
Tinkers' Repossession
Tinkers' Repossession is a utility-focused addon for Tinkers' Construct that solves the age-old problem: what to do with unwanted, ancient, or outdated tools?
This mod introduces two new functional tables that allow you to disassemble your tools and reclaim the valuable materials used to create them.
✨ Features
🔨 Deconstruction Table

Ever made a tool part out of the wrong material? Or found a tool with a part you'd rather use elsewhere? The Deconstruction Table allows you to take apart any standard Tinkers' tool and recover its original components.
- How it works: Simply place your Tinkers' tool in the input slot, and the table will extract all the individual tool parts (Head, Handle, Bindings, etc.) used to craft it.
- Use Case: Perfect for upgrading specific parts of your favorite tools or recovering high-tier parts from loot.
- Faliure Chance: Be careful when dissasembling old and used tools though! The dissasembly process may fail if the tool durability was not full — the chance equals the percentage of missing durability.

♻️ Reclamation Table

Not all tools can be cleanly deconstructed—especially "Ancient" tools from wandering traders or uncraftable loot. The Reclamation Table breaks these items down into their base materials.
- How it works: Instead of parts, this table extracts the raw resources (Ingots, Nuggets, Planks, etc.) based on the tool's material composition.
- Material Value:
- Metals: Automatically detects and returns the appropriate amount of ingots or nuggets.
- Non-Metals: Returns base items like Wood Planks, Cobblestone, Flint, Bone, Leather, or Slime Balls.
- Use Case: The ultimate way to recycle unwanted loot or tools that cannot be deconstructed normally.

⚙️ Configuration & Customization
Tinker's Repossession is designed with modpack authors and addon developers in mind.
- Custom Mappings: You can define exactly what items are returned for specific materials using a simple JSON mapping file located at
data/tinkers_reposession/reclaimation_materials.json. - Data Pack Support: Easily override or add support for other Tinkers' addons by shipping your own mappings in a data pack.
