About this Mod
✨ Features
- Pause Menu Support: Displays tips when the game is paused. Tips in the pause menu automatically refresh according to the interval you set.
Pause menu tips share the same content and style as the loading screen tips. You can customize them via the config file of the original Tips mod.
- Customizable Animations: Includes a new breathing effect. You can adjust its fade speed and opacity to your liking.
The breathing effect also applies to loading screen tips.
❓ Why This Mod Exists
I originally created this mod solely to enable tips in the pause menu for Minecraft 1.12.2, as this feature was missing in older versions of the Tips mod. Later, I expanded it by adding a customizable breathing effect to enhance the visual experience.

How to Install Tips Extension on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.12.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Tips Extension". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Tips Extension server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.12.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Tips Extension compatible with forge?
Tips Extension officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.12.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Tips Extension – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Tips Extension consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
