TranslateChat

TranslateChat translates the chat for you, both ways. What you type gets sent in whatever language you want, and when other people talk, their messages get translated into yours. It's all client side, so you can use it anywhere nobody else on the server needs it, and they won't even know you've got it.

Features

• Translates your messages to a selected language
• Translates messages in chat to your selected language as long as its over 10 characters
• Configurable though mod menu (optional but recomended)

Picking a translator

Out of the box it uses Google's free translation, so there's nothing to set up and no API key to mess with just install it and go. If you want something else you can switch to:

• DeepL – really good for European languages, free key
• Google Cloud – needs a paid key, but supports the most languages
• LibreTranslate – open source (Not recomended)

Disclamer

1. It does NOT translate commands, or anything with a . at the start, so if you are on pvplegacy or any server with a /shout command it will not translate it

2. It does send data to public stuff like google, so the mod it self will not collect data but the translation website you use might collect it.

• /translate – see what's set right now
• /translate target <lang> – the language you talk in
• /translate mylang <lang> – the language you read in
• /translate off – turn it off
• /translate help – quick guide
  (all of this can be configured in mod menu)

Requirements

• Minecraft 26.1+ (Fabric)
• Fabric API
• Java 25
• ModMenu + Cloth Config if you want the settings screen (optional)

Quick heads up about your data

To actually translate anything, your messages get sent to whatever translation service you're using (Google, DeepL, or LibreTranslate) — that's just how online translation works. Nothing else gets collected. If you'd rather not send your chat to anyone, you can run your own LibreTranslate server and point the mod at it, or just turn translation off.
