Trapper Pelts
Implements bear traps for users to hunt for more leather
About this Mod
As the cold winter nights approach, you grow more and more desperate for leather to keep warm.
You find yourself turning to more... brutal.. methods of acquisition.
The shorthand explanation
This mod adds bear traps for the player to craft and set around their base. When an entity makes contact with the bear trap, it will snap dealing notable damage to the entity. If the bear trap kills an entity, it will drop either rabbit hides or leather, depending of the mob type. The amount dropped varies randomly.
Interested? Here's some more in bullet point form!
- Bear traps are placed at the player's feet when used.
- After being placed, there is a grace period of 4 seconds (longer if the server is lagging) before it will snap when an entity makes contact.
- Any entity that is killed will drop either a rabbit hide or leather along with their usual loot. The decision on whether it is hide or leather is based on the mob type. Small mobs drop hides, along side players, ender dragons, and withers. All other entities killed through this method will drop leather.
- The bear trap does 22.5 damage to the entity that triggered it.
- Bear traps can be reset a few times by right clicking them after they've gone off.
- Bear traps can be destroyed by attacking them.
