About this Mod

Treevamped is a mod that focuses on overhauling trees and forests in Minecraft! The mod was made with gameplay in mind, meaning that trees on average are a lot taller than normal, making it much easier to traverse through them either on foot or horseback, while also providing much more resources for your big projects. However, care was still given to make each tree visually appealing while retaining that good ol' Minecraft charm! [Screenshots use the Distant Horizons mod, my own World Remoulded mod and the Programmer Art Fix resource pack]

What this mod does specifcally is modify the Configured Feature JSONS for each tree. Some trees were simply made to generate around 3 to 4 blocks taller, so that the leaves generate high enough that the player shouldn't be constantly bumping their heads on them, or getting their horse stuck. Other trees were edited further through their Trunk Placers and Foliage Placers to change their appearance altogether. In some biomes, the vegetation distribution was also tweaked, so that forests have a wider mix of small to large trees. Lastly, this mod also adds a couple of its own Configured and Placed Features, those being much larger trees that generate rarely in their biome, like a Fancy Oak tree that's bigger than normal, or an occasional Mega Pine in a regular Taiga. If you're tired of Vanillas tiny forests then this is the right mod for you :)
Check out the (currently outdated) Trailer below for a direct comparison between Vanilla and Treevamped!
Currently Implemented
- Taller trees to prevent the player constantly bumping their head
- More diversity in tree shape and sizes
- Naturally generated 1x1 Dark Oak and Pale Oak trees
- Cleaned up obnoxious Leaf Litter across the world, is now found in Dark Forests only (but of course can still be smelted from all leaves)
- Many trees now have a fancy equivelent or something similar (think vanillas Fancy Oaks)
- Many Ancient Tree structures, which are very rare, very giant versions of each tree. Will you preserve these natural wonders, or harvest them for their resources?
Plans for the Future
- Add the ability to grow the 1x1 Dark Oak and Pale Oak trees from a single sapling
- Add the ability to grow the fancier trees from using any saplings excluding Spruce, Jungle, Dark and Pale Oak, in a 2x2 formation
- Add a new (sort of) type of wood to Swamps, Rotten Oak wood. Doesn't have doors, buttons and whatnot, only planks, stairs and slabs, however that's because the wood has the unique ability of creaking and eventually breaking when stood on. The Wilted Leaves that make up the Swamp Oaks don't drop any saplings but the player can get more Rotten Wood by throwing any Log into water to get any variant of Rotten Log! (maybe on a timer to prevent accidental rot)
- Add an Ancient Swamp Oak tree
- Add Programmer Art support
Do note that as this is a mod, the Fabric API is a dependancy. Given the new growth spurt a lot of these trees had, I'd heavily recommend a tree felling mod/datapack such as Chopt by ItsJustMeChris to make life easier, but that's up to you.
I'd also personally like to shout out Better Trees by EMD123, JeanBetterTrees by jeancrafteo and Taller Forests by TheKingOfNerds for being the primary sources of inspiration behind this mod!

Treevamped server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Treevamped compatible with fabric?
Treevamped officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Treevamped – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Treevamped consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
