Tribulation

A mod about magic, monsters and random messy additions that sprout from ideas in my brain. Tribulation is about a strange idea I had years ago about a magic system, that combined with time and many revisions, formed into a sort of incohesive lump of concepts I couldn't possibly separate. So I decided to start small and get some basic things out before I leap forward again, like I so hastily did in my youth.

Lore

In Tribulation, there is an everpresent thing known as the Veil. It obscures, it hides, it manipulates and alters. Piercing the Veil is not possible alone, but thankfully, many spirits roam that contain slivers of its power. With the mystical strength of Minecraft's world, you just might be able to take it for yourself.
This process is called Ascension, and there are ten stages before you reach the pinnacle. Once ascended, you are able to use the Veil to manipulate reality itself, but you must always carry guiding knowledge books lest the Veil wipe your memory and all your power flows aimlessly within you.
Thankfully, there is one spell ingrained within your very essence - flight.

Mist is your max capacity for the Veil. You can increase it by using the Veil to alter existence. When you gain enough, you can craft a Spirit Altar and click on it to ascend even higher.

Veil is your current capacity for manipulating the Veil. This is what you need to create all your wonders.

Keybinds

Here are the default keybinds and their effects:

• 'R': Press for special ability
• '=': Press to toggle appraisal (view the mana of others), hold to open spell/technique menu (equip up to 4 spells/techniques)
• 'Z', 'X', 'C', 'V': Spells 1-4
