About this Mod
🍏 UHC
UHC (abbreviation for Ultra HardCore) is a popular Minecraft survival minigame that can be played alone or with a team.
This mod also includes UHCRun, a variant of UHC that tweaks the game in many ways to make it 2x faster.
UHC is one of the minigames made for the Nucleoid Project, an effort to build an open source ecosystem for server-side Minecraft minigames.

Installation
UHC can be installed on a client or a server. As this is a multiplayer minigame though, it is recommended to install it on a server.
⚠ UHC needs the following mods to be installed:
- Plasmid: GitHub / Modrinth
- Fabric API: GitHub / CurseForge / Modrinth
Usage
To start a game of UHC, use /game open and browse the list of available game modes.

How to Install UHC on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.4).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "UHC". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

UHC server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is UHC compatible with fabric and quilt?
UHC officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.4, 1.20.1, 1.20. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with UHC – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if UHC consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
