About this Mod
Upgradeable Utilities adds new material versions of furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers.
The mod keeps the normal furnace system simple, but gives you better versions to craft as you progress. Each material tier smelts, blasts, or cooks faster than the last, making it easier to handle ores, food, and larger batches of items.
Current Blocks
This mod currently adds upgraded versions of:
- Furnaces
- Blast Furnaces
- Smokers
Available material tiers:
- Copper
- Iron
- Gold
- Diamond
- Netherite
- Speed Boosts
Each tier has a small speed increase:
Copper: 1.25x
Iron: 1.5x
Gold: 2x
Diamond: 3x
Netherite: 4x
Planned Additions
I plan to add more upgradeable utility blocks in future updates, including:
Grindstone
Material anvils
For anvils, the upgrades are planned to focus on durability instead of speed, so higher material tiers should last longer.
Why I made this mod:
I made Upgradeable Utilities for players who like the normal Minecraft utility blocks but want a little more progression from them. It is meant to stay simple, useful, and easy to understand without changing how these blocks normally work.
