About this Mod
Introducing Uranium, a mod designed to take your Minecraft experience to a new level of challenge by introducing intentional lag. This mod makes the game unplayable, testing your patience and resilience.
Uranium was originally created as a joke to show friends how Minecraft used to run on my PC. Instead of describing bad performance, this mod recreates it by deliberately wasting processing power to cause lag, stuttering, and extremely low FPS.
The mod does not add new gameplay content, blocks, or items. It does not modify visuals, collect data, or perform any malicious actions, it simply makes the game run worse on purpose. The full source code is publicly available for transparency.
Uranium is intended for humor, experimentation, and challenge scenarios, such as joke modpacks or patience tests.

How to Install Uranium (Lag) on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Uranium (Lag)". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Uranium (Lag) server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Uranium (Lag) compatible with fabric and forge?
Uranium (Lag) officially supports fabric, forge for Minecraft 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Uranium (Lag) – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Uranium (Lag) consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
