Useful Hats

This is a Minecraft mod which adds some useful hats to the game. (Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Quilt) All included hats can be dyed and configured

Dependencies

The Fabric / Quilt version needs the following mods:

• Fabric API (Github, Curseforge, Modrinth)
• Cloth Config API (Github, Curseforge, Modrinth)

The Mining Hat uses the light effect of Lucent mod (Curseforge, Modrinth), if it is installed. (Since 1.19.2-3.0.2.0)

All hats can be placed into the head/hat slots of Trinkets mod (Curseforge, Modrinth) since 5.1.1.0. The head/hat slot is added by this mod by default, but it can be changed or removed by datapacks.

All hats can be placed into the head slots of Curios mod (Curseforge, Modrinth) since 1.7.0. The Curios head slot is not added by this mod by default, but it can be added with the config curiosAddHeadSlot (since 1.8.4), by other mods or by yourself.

All hats can be placed into the head slot of Baubles Reborn mod since 1.8.3. (Since 1.19-3.0.0.0 Baubles Reborn is not supported any longer)

Features

Aquanaut Helmet

You get Conduit Power effect for 1 minute. But you have a limited view. (with Respiration enchantment up to 4 minutes)

Bunny Ears

You get Jump Boost effect and you can eat faster. (with Efficiency enchantment up to 7 times)

Chopping Hat

Chopping with an axe is 20% faster. (with Efficiency enchantment up to 150%, stackable with other enchantments and potions)

Ender Helmet

Using an Ender Pearl to teleport to a defined position. Interdimensional traveling possible.

Halo

No monster except bosses attacks you. But beware of the Nether!

Lucky Hat

You get Luck effect while holding an axe, sword or fishing rod.

Mining Hat

Mining with a pickaxe is 20% faster. (with Efficiency enchantment up to 150%, stackable with other enchantments and potions) While holding a pickaxe you get Night Vision effect in dark areas. If Lucent is installed, the Night Vision effect is replaced by the Lucent light effect (Since 1.19.2-3.0.2.0).

Mushroom Hat

You take automatically a bite out of this hat when you are hungry.

Postman Hat

While sprinting you get Speed effect but also Hunger effect. (with Efficiency enchantment up to Speed VI)

Shulker Helmet

You get Levitation effect. (with Efficiency enchantment up to Levitation VI)

Straw Hat

Mining with a hoe (since MC 1.16) or digging with a shovel is 20% faster. (with Efficiency enchantment up to 150%, stackable with other enchantments and potions)

Stocking Cap

A stylish and dyable stocking cap with a christmas design in december..

Wing Helmet

While falling you get Slow Falling effect. Sometimes the helmet is afraid of monsters and flies away.

FAQ

Can I use this mod in my mod pack?

Yes, you are allowed to use this mod in your mod packs.

Port to another Minecraft version? Which versions are supported?

Sorry, but I do not backport any mod to an older version. Here is a list of all supported and planned versions: Minecraft mod versions of cech12

Is there a Fabric version?

Yes, since 1.20.4 Fabric and Quilt are officially supported. There is no plan to backport Fabric support to earlier Minecraft versions.

Where is the config file?

Since mod version 2.0.0.0 you can find it in the defaultconfig directory. If you change something there it has only an effect on new savegames. For existing savegames you need to go to the serverconfig directory of the savegame.

How can I disable single hats?

Since mod version 2.0.0.0 you need to add a custom datapack or use CraftTweaker to disable single crafting recipes.

I found a bug or I have a good idea to enhance this mod!
