About this Mod
Vanilla Mob Remake Mod — Breathe “Familiar Yet Unknown” Life Into Your Survival!
▌ Current Version: Alpha | Supports Minecraft Java 1.21.10, Forge 60.1.0+
▌ Mod Type: Server‑side only — no client installation needed!
Tired of vanilla mobs moving like they’ve had too much ale? Don’t want to overhaul the whole game with tons of new content?
Vanilla Mob Remake is made for you — we only tweak the mobs’ AI, adding zero new items or models, yet making every encounter fresh, dangerous, and tactical.
🔧 What’s working right now:
🧟 Zombies Awaken!
Zombies no longer just shamber mindlessly — they actually use what they hold:
· Crossbow Zombies keep their distance and shoot (but reload slower than a sloth)
· Potion Zombies throw buffs or debuffs your way
· Shield Zombies block and resist knockback
· Tool Zombies break blocks to reach you (not very efficiently, though)
· TNT Zombies toss explosives with a tell‑tale wind‑up — no prediction here
· Mace Zombies & Elytra Zombies don’t spawn naturally yet; wait for the full release to find them hidden in trial chambers
🧙 Witches & Their “Deals”
Witches have “traded” potions for zombie minions — now you might face not just a potion‑slinger, but a small squad of enhanced undead. Even mobs are networking these days…
🕷 Spider Traps
Spiders shoot webs to slow you down — but only once per target. Unless a Mace Zombie is around… then it’s a deadly combo.
📦 Death Chests
Upon death, your items are neatly packed into a chest that spawns where you fell. Worried about the 27‑slot limit? Don’t — if you’re carrying more, we’ll spawn a second chest.
(Note: void death still destroys your items — gravity doesn’t forgive!)
⚙️ Design Philosophy:
We follow the “strong but not OP” rule.
Every enhanced mob has a weakness: TNT Zombies telegraph their throws, spiders web only once, crossbow zombies are slow to reload…
But danger never comes alone — when mobs start teaming up in unexpected ways, that’s when your real survival skills are tested.
🎮 Who’s this for?
· Veteran players bored with vanilla mob behavior but who still love the core game
· Survivalists who want higher challenge without installing content‑heavy mods
· Server squads looking for smarter threats to tackle together
📖 For all detailed changes and the three debug commands, check the changelog inside the mod.
More AI refinements and mob combos are in the works — like the Elytra Spear Zombie currently on the drawing board. Stay tuned!
