About this Mod

3 New Vanilla-Based Tools and Bow! 11 New Enchantments! Repair Cost Rework!

This mod was carefully built to create new tools that felt balanced for their attainable level of progression and to put my spin on some of the classic tool types you might have heard before! Two items are intended to be upgrades of their original counterparts: the Hammer and the Felling Axe. The Scythe is an entirely new tool with all the different material tiers available!

WARNING: THIS MOD IS FOR NeoForge 1.21.1!

You can download NeoForge here! https://projects.neoforged.net/neoforged/neoforge

The Hammer:

This tool can mine 3x3 blocks in front of you, while only taking durability damage for the bottom row of blocks! This can increase to a 5x5 or a 7x7 with the Area enchantment! Also, with the vein enchantment, you can prevent the hammer from breaking blocks other than the block you first broke, acting as a filter for what you break! I made the hammer in this video:

The Scythe:

This tool can harvest a flat 3x3 of plants in front of you (Iron and up, stone and wooden tools only do 3x2), while only taking durability damage for the first 2 rows of plants! With the reach enchantment, this can increase to a 5x5, 7x7, or 9x9! Also, with the sowing enchantment, the scythe will automatically replant fully harvested crops with their seeds or base plants! Finally, the green thumb enchantment prevents the scythe from breaking seeds and gives them a chance to receive bonemeal! The scythe can also break full block plant-adjacent blocks faster than all other tools! I made the scythe in this video:

The Felling Axe:

This tool can chop all of the wood from (small) trees! This can increase from 8 logs to 128 logs with the branch enchantment! Also, with the pruning enchantment, the Felling axe will destroy leaves that were attached to the tree! Wart-Affinity works like pruning but with the wart blocks and shroom light found on nether trees! Finally, the debarking enchantment allows you to right-click groups of logs to strip them all! I made the Felling axe in this video:

The Longbow:

A new, powerful bow that can shoot further and more accurately! Enchant it with weight to be able to break blocks when the arrow lands, or with homing to make arrows fired head towards mobs automatically! Increase accuracy even further with the Hawkeye enchantment!

New Arrows:

4 new arrows can be constructed with the use of the Fletching table - Finally! Try your hand with the explosive arrow to send mobs flying! Or swap locations with blocks and entities with the pearl arrow! Want a damage increase? Try out the sharp arrow! Lastly, if you've ever wanted a grappling hook, then try out the rope arrow; it can also bring mobs towards you as well!

The Quiver:

This is a storage item that can hold 9 stacks of arrows within itself. Holding a bow will cause the quiver to pull out its next arrow, allowing for easy firing! Enchant with Magnetism to automatically send arrows you pick up into your quiver, or with Powder Keg to allow the storage of fireworks!

The Restoration Kit:

This new item allows you to remove the repair cost from any tool! All you have to do is throw one of these on a crafting table with the tool in question and one of its repair materials! (For all netherite tools, this was changed to netherite scrap but only for this mechanic.) Also, scythes and the longbow can't be repaired in the anvil (weird mod jank, I know), so the restoration kit will fix them both! Armor can now also be restored.

11 New Enchantments:

Each of these has unique purposes for either the three new tools introduced here or for existing tools! These can all be found in the enchanting table, but we can all agree that's boring, so I made recipes for all of them! Wart Affinity can also be found in Nether Fortress chests! (Unless you have another mod running that overwrote it…) Magnetism is the only enchantment I haven't mentioned yet, but it moves all broken/dug/chopped/harvested items directly into your inventory! It works with all tools, but not with Fortune or Silk Touch.
