About this Mod

Crouch Vein Miner

Crouch Vein Miner allows you to instantly break entire veins of connected identical ores simply by sneaking and using the correct tool.

It keeps vanilla behavior as intact as possible:

  • You still must use the correct tool for the block to drop items
  • It only triggers when the player is actively sneaking (crouching)
  • No new custom keybinds, blocks, or enchantments are added
  • It mines in a clean, logical outward radius using a Breadth-First Search (BFS) algorithm

Features

  • Instantly mines connected identical ores
  • Triggers naturally without needing extra keybinds
  • Uses predictable BFS pathing for block updates
  • Includes a built-in safe block cap to protect server performance
  • Works on Fabric
  • Supports dedicated servers
  • Also works in singleplayer

Compatibility

This project has separate files for different Minecraft version lines:
Please download the file that matches your Minecraft version.

Server / Client

On a dedicated server, this mod is intended to work with server-side installation only because it relies entirely on standard block-breaking behavior.

That means players generally should not need to install the mod on their client just to use the vein miner on your server.

It also works when installed in a normal singleplayer Fabric instance.

Important Warning

If you increase the maximum block cap significantly in the server configuration, mining massive, modded ore clusters could cause TPS drops or lag spikes.

The default limit is highly optimized to protect your server's performance, so it is strongly recommended to test your hardware's limits before raising the cap on an active world.
