About this Mod
Viper Proxy
Viper Proxy is a client-side Fabric mod that routes all of your multiplayer connections through a proxy server. It supports SOCKS5, HTTP, and HTTPS proxies.
This mod adds a button to the top right of the Multiplayer screen where you can configure your proxy and test the connection. It comes with a built-in kill switch that blocks server connections entirely if the proxy isn't healthy, and a background heartbeat checks every 15 seconds so that if your proxy drops mid-session, the mod catches it immediately. Your real IP is never exposed.
You can save multiple proxy profiles and switch between them from the config screen. Credentials are encrypted on disk and tied to your machine, so they won't be exposed in plaintext config files.

How to Install Viper Proxy on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2-pre-2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Viper Proxy". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Viper Proxy server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2-pre-2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Viper Proxy compatible with fabric?
Viper Proxy officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.2-pre-2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Viper Proxy – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Viper Proxy consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
