About this Mod
VoidCrates Visuals
VoidCrates Visuals adds six animated crate blocks for Fabric servers. The mod is intended as a visual crate layer for servers that already handle rewards through commands or another crate system.
Summary
Adds animated 3D crate blocks with different rarity tiers:
- Common Crate
- Uncommon Crate
- Rare Crate
- Epic Crate
- Legendary Crate
- Mythic Crate
Each crate has its own model, texture, glow style, and opening animation.
Features
- Six placeable animated crate blocks
- Rarity-based visual progression
- GeckoLib-powered opening animations
- Particle and sound effects when opening crates
- Configurable reward command bridge
- Designed for Fabric 1.21.1 servers
- Works as a visual companion to external crate/reward systems
Intended Use
This mod does not replace a full crate/reward plugin or server-side crate economy. It provides the animated visual crate blocks. Rewards can be connected through configurable commands, allowing server owners to integrate it with their own crate, key, rank, or reward systems.

Void Crates server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Void Crates compatible with fabric?
Void Crates officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Void Crates – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Void Crates consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
